I'm a self-taught artist based in Auckland, New Zealand, and my paintings are inspired by people — all sorts!

People have always fascinated me, their appearance, emotions and how they present themselves to the world. And every person has their own unique story.

Capturing a likeness and then blending it with my own imagination is where the magic begins for me. When I’m working on a painting the world disappears for a time. I feel lost without a portrait to work on.

There’s no special meaning in my work. I simply enjoy creating my own version of someone, and hopefully others appreciate seeing this person through my eyes too.
